World Micro's strategic initiative to guarantee quality in everything we do has led to certain accomplishments in the industry during the year. These initiatives were begun in early 2004 and continue to this day and are a major component of World Micro's growth, even in difficult economic conditions.
Following are a few of our accomplishments:
- Achieved AS9120 certification on the first attempt with zero non-conformities.
- Renewed our ISO-9001 certification
- World Micro sponsored the Atlanta-SMTA EXPO in April-2009
- Attended the CALCE/SMTA Counterfeit Component Symposium at U of Maryland
Industry speaking engagements for our Director of Quality, Mr. Art Ogg:
- Conducted a world wide webinar on detecting counterfeit components for SMTA
- Spoke to the Huntsville, AL SMTA Expo, April, 2009
- Spoke to the Atlanta, GA SMTA Expo, April, 2009
- Spoke to NASA & JPL on detecting counterfeit parts in October, 2009
- Spoke to the American Society for Quality in Atlanta, October, 2009
- Spoke to the PCB-Atlanta Symposium in October, 2009
- Spoke to the Philadelphia SMTA EXPO, November, 2009
