Rigid Controls - Each step in the World Micro facility is controlled by a rigid set of instructions that are monitored by Senior Management and Quality audits.
Detailed Records - Upon receipt and upon shipment, as well as during routine cycle counts, product information is recorded to provide material traceability.
Digital Imaging - Digital image files are also a part of World Micro's process controls: World Micro utilizes digital imaging equipment including Sciencescope CCD cameras with up to 81x magnification, Integral Technologies Video Capture, Fuji and Hewlett Packard digital cameras, Microsoft Digital Image software, and Dell PowerEdge servers, all of which reside within our secure facility.
Incoming Box Inspections - Incoming boxes and their contents are first photographed prior to receipt of the shipment into our systems.
Incoming Component Inspections - The components, during the extensive Quality inspection process, are photographed and recorded within the World Micro system.
Supplier Qualification Procedures - World Micro suppliers are subjected to strict qualification procedures prior to becoming a qualified supplier. Supplier quality is closely monitored and only the best are used.
Corrective Actions - Any supplier-related issues cause World Micro to issue a SCAR (Supplier Corrective Action Request), which is followed to closure.
Historical Protection - Prior to placing any order, the device being considered is compared to two respected databases as well as World Micro's historical activity on the device to determine if it has had any negative history, reworking or counterfeiting activity in the marketplace.
Training - The Quality Department has trained World Micro employees on ESD Principles and the RoHS Directive. This includes cross functional employee training is in place to ensure continuity and consistency of service for our customers.
Mature Product Protection - World Micro offers baking and dry packing services for mature products.
Testing - Additionally, World Micro will provide solder ability testing along with a certificate of conformance for specific shipments.
Inventory Validation - World Micro is constantly performing cycle counting to validate its inventory. In addition, the Quality group conducts random quality audits to keep the inventory viable. |
