Atlanta, GA June 4, 2007: World Micro's Director of Business Development attends Computex Taipei in Taiwan and establishes key relationship with Advansus, a world-class ODM Design & Manufacturing company: Computex Taipei is the 2nd largest electronics tradeshow in the world. With over 132,000 visitors from around the globe, the show provided many opportunities to meet with existing and future suppliers of World Micro. In addition, World Micro further established a relationship with Advansus, a company who provides custom engineering design services for World Micro's growing customer base in the Gaming, Kiosk, and POI world. This relationship compliments the existing relationships with Kontron and VIA Technologies in an effort to provide the best computing solutions to our customers.

Atlanta, GA May 15, 2007: World Micro to exhibit at the EDS Tradeshow in Las Vegas to develop a nationwide network of Manufacturer Reps: EDS is an organization that enables Manufacturers, Distributors, and Manufacturer Representative organizations to meet and develop relationships that enhances the Franchise Distribution business model. Atlanta, GA November 19, 2006: Solectron adds World Micro to its current vendor list of suppliers of hard-to-find parts: A Purchasing Manager at Scientific Atlanta (Cisco) called on a Thursday and said, "I want you in our Tier 1 Contract Manufacturer's Corporate Headquarters on Monday to help us work through major problems." One week later, after working with top level executives, the Tier 1 CM added World Micro to their select team of companies worldwide to help them with their Electronic Component issues.

San Diego, CA August 20, 2006: Kontron Expands its ETX Certified Partner Program, Community of Qualified Carrier Board Designers Continues to Grow: Kontron announces the expansion of the Kontron ETX Certified Design Partner program to include three new memebers in the Americas. Atlanta, GA July15, 2006: The Embedded Division of World Micro was selected by Via Technologies as a Tier One Partner: Via Technologies' Embedded Division has selected World Micro to become one of their four Tier One Partners in the United States. Via's Embedded Group is responsible for sales and marketing of the Award winning EPIA Mini-ITX series of Single Board Computers, and the soon to be announced Nano-ITX boards. These small form factor boards are developed and designed for industrial, medical, militrary, and other computing applications where a smaller form factor combined with a long-life product is required. Via became acquainted with what World Micro was accomplishing in the Embedded Computing world, and wanted to work with a company who understands the technology and has the ability to map out true solutions Engineers require when designing computing based products into their design process.

Atlanta, GA June 14, 2006: World Micro's Engineering Design Division selected by Kontron to provide Engineering Design Services: Kontron, a worldwide leading manufacturer of Single Board Computers, has selected World Micro's Engineering Design Division to become a Certified Partner to provide custom design engineering services to it's extensive customer base. Kontron's ETX Baseboard products provide OEMs the essential barebones platform on which to develop all the features they need for a customized SBC that meets their application. Kontron's product offerings are extensive, however, every application is unique and an OEM may need features not found on Kontron's standard offerings. This program will allow the OEM design engineer to work directly with World Micro's engineers to design the platform they need.

Atlanta, GA May 27, 2006: The "Component Obsolescence Group" (COG) in the UK invites World Micro's Vice President to speak at their Quarterly Meeting: Chris Ellsworth was invited to be a guest speaker at the COG's quaterly meeting in Llandrindod Wells, Powys, Wales. The topic was on "How Purchasing Managers and Engineers of leading manufacturers can successfully manage shrinking inventory, allocations, End-Of-Life notices, and Obsolescence, even if your product life cycles extend way beyond normal commercial designs." Presenting to over 125 Design Engineers and Electronic Professionals from major OEM corporations, Mr. Ellsworth effectively communicated how valuable the Independent Distribution Channel is to the Electronics Industry, and many ways OEMs can use them to extend product life cycles out for years. Many questions were generated in a lively discussion that followed.

Atlanta, GA April 20, 2006: World Micro Embedded Division is selected by General Touch Technology as a National Franchise Distributor: General Touch Technology, Inc. (GTT) has signed a National Franchise Distribution Agreeement with World Micro's Embedded Division to represent their cutting edge SAW Touch Technology to OEMs throughout the United States and Canada. GTT's mature Surface Acoustic Wave Technology has been field proven in Asia with leading OEMs such as IBM and Olivetti. GTT is quickly penetrating the North American marketplace to compete again ELO Touch, who held the patent for SAW Touch technology prior to February 2005. This strengthens World Micro's Embedded Divisions focus on bringing world class Computing and LCD based solutions to the engineers of our valued OEM customers.

Atlanta, GA March 12, 2006: World Micro Components announces a Franchise Distribution Agreement with Barker MicroFarad, Inc.: Barker MicroFarad, Inc. is a leading Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor manufacturer whose roots go back to World War II days. Former Sprague employees purchased the Sprague manufacturing facility in Hillsdale, VA and have established BMI as a manufacturer of high quality, high reliability aluminum electrolytic capacitors. BMI currently offers a broad range of Axial- and Radial-leaded DC capacitors, as well as a full line of AC Motor Start capacitors. World Micro will distribute their DC product lines into their existing customer base, and seek to locate new design opportunities working at the engineering level.

Atlanta, GA February 3, 2006: Leading NEC Relay, Surge Suppression, andWireless Antenna Manufacturer, World Products, Inc., Extends Franchised Distribution Agreement to World Micro Components, Inc.: World Products and World Micro have mutually agreed to develop a Franchised Distribution relationship, in order to increase design win opportunities and exposure of WPI products with World Micro's large OEM customer base. Through the Hybrid business model, World Micro regularly calls on design engineers who are tasked with designing new products. It is our goal to introduce leading manufacturers products at the dewsign stage of the product life cycle, whose products may not be seen, due to large distributor tendencies of offering only Tier 1 products. The local Atlanta chapter of Women In Electronics has invited World Micro Director of Business Development, Daniel McMillen, to speak at the March 9th., 2006, Atlanta Chapter meeting. The topic will be about "How To Strategically Increase Profits", and is designed to help those who work in purchasing departments, in management, and in Sales for Electronic Companies who purchase electronic components. World Micro Components, Inc., a leading Hybrid Electronics Distributor, and Cal-Chip Technology, a leading global manufacturer of SMD Capacitors and Resistors, have agreed to partner together through a National Franchised Distribution Agreement for the North America region. Cal-Chip was looking for an aggressive distributor who is working with leading OEMS at the engineering level to actively seek out new design opportunities. Atlanta, GA, April 21, 2005: World Micro Speaks And Exhibits At The 9th Annual SMTA Atlanta EXPO
World Micro employee Mark Ellsworth was one of the featured speakers at the 14th annual SMTA Atlanta EXPO held at the Gwinnet Civic Center in the Greater Atlanta area. Mark's topic covered the "Hybrid Business Sourcing Model", which allows a company like World Micro to better serve the electronic design and procurement requirements of OEMs and Contract Manufacturers as compared to the traditional distribution model. In addition, World Micro exhibited at the well attended show and featured the capabilities World Micro brings in sourcing electronic components, embedded computing products, and engineering design services.

Atlanta, GA, March 8, 2005 - All for One, and One for All:
World Micro Components, Inc. has recently partnered with Cobb County Elementary School, Mt. Bethel Elementary, to bring a piece of America to the troops serving abroad. Sponsored by the Student Council at Mt. Bethel Elementary, the students will be taking a few minutes of their days to let our troops overseas know that we have not stopped thinking about them and that even our children back home recognize the challenges they face overseas. Each student will create a hand made Thank You card to be sent to our troops. Robin Lattizorri, Mt. Bethel Principal, commented, "We are thrilled to be able to partner with World Micro Components to bring a piece of America to the troops abroad. Our students are getting to experience first hand compassion and patriotism, two of our Character Education words. This is an experience, I'm sure, they will never forget."

For each hand made card that the students are creating, World Micro Components, Inc. is sending a box of Girl Scout Cookies in an attempt to bring a small piece of America to the folks who are so far away fighting to protect us. Current estimates are 1,000 cards and 1,000 boxes of cookies have been collected so far. In response to why, Chris Ellsworth, co-owner of World Micro Components, Inc., who worked with his wife Brooke, an elementary school teacher at Mt. Bethel, said, "I am all for doing the easy thing like writing a check to support one organization or another, but I have a special feeling for the people overseas and wanted to send a piece of America to them. It's great for the kids, our soldiers and our staff."

Atlanta, GA, December 18, 2004: WMC Employees Help Hands-On-Atlanta
World Micro employees in conjunction with its relationship with Hands-On-Atlanta, volunteered their support to the "Foster Care Support Group" located in Roswell, GA. In addition to a monetary donation, World Micro employees helped them move goods to and from their storage units, assembled cribs for kids who don't have a place to sleep, and sorted clothing for the kids who have none. Dan Ellsworth, President of World Micro, said, "We made a huge difference by having about 15 people contribute over 50 hours of work, and I appreciate the help from everyone who could make it. We will do additional work for this group in the spring".

World Micro, in its continuing effort to make a difference supporting the local community, has established a relationship with a local non-profit organization. Dan Ellsworth, President, said, "We annually to donate a portion of our December profits to an organization that we feel is deserving. This year is no exception, and the selection we have made is Hands on Atlanta.

Hands On Atlanta is a non-profit organization that helps individuals, families and corporate and community groups find flexible volunteer opportunities at more than 400 service organizations and schools. Hands On Atlanta volunteers, now 25,000 strong, are at work every day of the year building community and meeting critical needs in schools, parks, senior homes, food banks, pet shelters, low-income neighborhoods and more. Hands On Atlanta is an affiliate of the Hands On Network, an umbrella association of "Cares" and "Hands On" organizations across the United States, U.K. and other countries.

Atlanta, GA, October 27, 2004: World Micro Announces New Operating Division And Strengthens Management Team
World Micro's evolution into a unique Hybrid Electronics Sourcing Company continues to take shape with the opening of a new Operating Division, and an expansion in the management team which further supports a strong foundation for its continued growth.

The new division will focus in two areas: Embedded Computing and Engineering Design Services. "With many customers purchasing Electronic Components from us, we recognize they are also purchasing many other electronic products, we do not currently supply.", commented Dan Ellsworth, CEO The new division will provide the expertise and capitalize on the World-Class sourcing tools we have created, that have enabled us to become as successful as we are in the component industry.

Additionally, to head up this division, and develop the new marketing programs, World Micro has hired a 19-year veteran, Daniel McMillen, as Director of Business Development & Marketing. He will utilize his extensive experience in Sales, Business Development, Marketing, and Management to build the new division, train the sales team, and establish supply sources by aligning World Micro "factory direct" with leading manufacturers. "Daniel's experience includes building successful supply relationships, partnerships, and a joint venture with major corporations," said Ellsworth, "and we welcome him to this newly created position." He comes to World Micro from the Applied Computing Solutions division of Avnet, Inc., where he worked with OEMs designing embedded computing solutions into their products, such as processors, servers, personal computers, storage, embedded computing, LCD displays, operating systems, networking, peripherals, and telephony.

Atlanta, GA, August 20, 2004: World Micro Hires Industry Veteran To Establish National Outside Sales Force
World Micro continues its expansion and evolution into a Hybrid Electronics Sourcing company with an addition to its management team. Rick Cooley will be heading up the new outside sales division. Rick brings over 25 years of valuable experience gained in sales, and sales management. He has worked for a leading distribution company, manufacturers rep firm, and electronic manufacturing company. Rick started out his electronics career with Arrow Electronics in Michigan as an outside salesperson. He later went on to become a Manufacturer's Representative promoting such lines as NEC, Cherry Switch, Sprague and NDK just to name a few. He was promoted to a Regional Sales Manager position, and continued his career advancement leading to a Corporate Sales Management position responsible for a National Sales Staff.
