Atlanta, GA, December 18, 2005: World Micro Has Been Invited To Speak At the March 9th, Women In Electronics Atlanta Chapter Meeting.
The local Atlanta chapter of Women In Electronics has invited World Micro Director of Business Development, Daniel McMillen, to speak at the March 9th., 2006, Atlanta Chapter meeting. The topic will be about "How To Strategically Increase Profits", and is designed to help those who work in purchasing departments, in management, and in Sales for Electronic Companies who purchase electronic components. The extent of the vast number of changes affecting the electronics industry has opened the door to strategic opportunities that supersede the formal channel patterns common in the industry for years. World Micro works with many leading OEMs and CMs helping them strategically profit throughout the product life cycle, and has developed this unique presentation in order to help others profits as well.


Atlanta, GA, December 12, 2005: World Micro Components announces new Franchised Distribution Agreement with Cal-Chip Technology
World Micro Components, Inc., a leading Hybrid Electronics Distributor, and Cal-Chip Technology, a leading global manufacturer of SMD Capacitors and Resistors, have agreed to partner together through a National Franchised Distribution Agreement for the North America region. Cal-Chip was looking for an aggressive distributor who is working with leading OEMS at the engineering level to actively seek out new design opportunities. Cal-Chip is commonly listed as an approved vendor at the leading OEMs and CMs throughout the United States. World Micro will work with Cal-Chip representatives to provide custom stocking programs to better meet the unique needs of Cal-Chip's large customer base.


Atlanta, GA, November 16, 2005: World Micro's Embedded Division and MicroTips Technology sign National Authorized Distributorship Agreement
World Micro Components, Inc., a leading Hybrid Electronics Distributor, and MicroTips Technology, a leading global LCD Display Manufacturer, have signed a National Franchised Distribution Agreement for the North America region. World Micro will distribute MicroTip LCD Display product lines and offer LCD design services to its existing OEM and CM customers through the World Micro Embedded and Engineering Division.  World Micro brings a unique approach to helping its customers find real solutions for their embedded computing requirements. This relationship strengthens World Micro's product offerings to its OEM customers who require embedded LCD Display products to run their industrial, medical, commercial, and military applications.


Atlanta, GA, October 26, 2005: World Micro To Sponsor the Women In Electronics 13th Annual Golf Tournament.
On Monday April 17th, 2006, many of Atlanta's leading citizens in the Electronics Industry will shed their winter coats to pick up their golf clubs, in order to help the WIE's Atlanta chapter raise funds to financially help women pursue a career in the electronics industry. World Micro Components, Inc., a leading Hybrid Electronics Distributor, has recently signed a Regional Authorized Distribution Agreement with Embedded Computing Division of Advantech, Co. Ltd. (TAIEX:2395) to represent its products to Advantech customers in the Eastern region of the United States. Atlanta, GA, April 21, 2005: World Micro Speaks And Exhibits At The 9th Annual SMTA Atlanta EXPO
World Micro employee Mark Ellsworth was one of the featured speakers at the 14th annual SMTA Atlanta EXPO held at the Gwinnet Civic Center in the Greater Atlanta area. Mark's topic covered the "Hybrid Business Sourcing Model", which allows a company like World Micro to better serve the electronic design and procurement requirements of OEMs and Contract Manufacturers as compared to the traditional distribution model. In addition, World Micro exhibited at the well attended show and featured the capabilities World Micro brings in sourcing electronic components, embedded computing products, and engineering design services.


Atlanta, GA, March 8, 2005All for One, and One for All:
World Micro Components, Inc. has recently partnered with Cobb County Elementary School, Mt. Bethel Elementary, to bring a piece of America to the troops serving abroad. Sponsored by the Student Council at Mt. Bethel Elementary, the students will be taking a few minutes of their days to let our troops overseas know that we have not stopped thinking about them and that even our children back home recognize the challenges they face overseas. Each student will create a hand made Thank You card to be sent to our troops. Robin Lattizorri, Mt. Bethel Principal, commented, "We are thrilled to be able to partner with World Micro Components to bring a piece of America to the troops abroad. Our students are getting to experience first hand compassion and patriotism, two of our Character Education words. This is an experience, I'm sure, they will never forget."
